Fostering excellence and diversity by providing wholesome recreation and educational activities to at-risk children, youth and young adults, improving the quality of life and reducing the crime rate throughout the Fort Pierce Community.

The Helen Abbott Theater of Hope is a safe haven for interested participants and community-wide audiences to enjoy.  The program is geared to help those who wish to develop their gifts in the field of the Arts.

We here at the Helen Abbott Theater of Hope, encourage young talent to participate in drama, dancing, music and play writing, while also encouraging them to learn camera work and technical creations.

Various presentations will be performed throughout the year at our newly renovated facility, while also actively touring other neighboring cities who enjoy the Arts and can appreciate young talent.

The Helen Abbott Theater of Hope invites interested parties to join the program and bring their gifts and talents with them.

 About Brenda Cooper

Brenda Cooper was born in Philadelphia and raised in Queens, NY.  She had the privilege of learning classical dancing through Sidney's ballet company of Philadelphia and New York.  Although she did not study drama, she was also privileged to attend many Broadway plays, from Hello Dolly in the fifties, to Cats in the nineties.  Her love for dance and theater shows in her love for children.

 About Helen Abbott

For those who knew Helen Abbott, she was a concerned, caring person who gave generously to those in the Fort Pierce Community.  A woman who had strength and courage to successfully take on major projects in the area, financing and building over twenty homes for those who only dreamed it could happen.

Anonymously, Helen gave thousands of dollars to senior citizen projects, funded numerous educational programs for children, and helped underprivileged families.  She was a woman who tirelessly worked to help others in need, asking nothing for herself.

Through Helen's overwhelming generosity, seeds of hope were planted.  A hope that will flourish in The Helen Abbott Theater of Hope, for all to remember.

God bless her, and may her overwhelming generosity rest in the memories of those she helped.
